About the District Event
Part of the community building at the LCMS Youth Gathering comes from the District Event! LMCS Districts host events before, during, or after the Gathering to provide space for groups to gather with other churches from theirsame region.
This year's PSD Event, aboard the Steamboat Natchez, is a river cruise on the Mississippi. Your registration and participation includes lunch, t-shirt, live music, and a group photo for your youth group.

FAQs
- My group is flying home the same day. Can we still attend the District Event? We do not recommend planning to fly home following the event. We recommend flying home the next day (7/24)
- Is there shuttling available? No. The departure location is 400 Toulouse in the French Quarter; walking distance from Gathering programming and hotels
- Does the cruise accommodate food allergies? Lunch will be served buffet style so there is a risk of cross-contamination. If a person in your party needs special accommodations, please plan on bringing your own food to be safe.
- Our group is unable to attend the event, but we love the PSD and still want to represent; can we still purchase a t-shirt? Absolutely! We hope that ALL of our PSD Youth Groups will have a PSD shirt to wear on July 23!
- I have members from my church volunteering at the Gathering (YAV, Team Flex, Adult Volunteer, etc.), can they join too? Of course! Anyone connected to the PSD is invited to attend. Please note that YAVs are invited to attend at a discounted rate! It is your responsibility to communicate with your "extras" that you are registering them. The PSD will not have a list of individual participants.
